The stillness of those landscapes, the changing seasons and the quiet rhythms of Nordic nature continue to influence both her musical language and the emotional atmosphere of her work. Rather than depicting landscapes directly, her compositions explore the inner experiences they evoke: solitude, memory, longing, belonging and renewal. Her debut EP, Within, Without (2020), recorded during her studies in Denmark, marked the beginning of an unexpected career. Released independently before leading to a collaboration with Canadian label Moderna Records, it was followed by the double single Promise / Sleepy Meadows, which reached millions of listeners worldwide. Her debut album, Dröm (2023), expanded that musical world with a collection of intimate piano pieces named in Swedish as a tribute to her Finnish-Swedish heritage. Recorded over the course of a year in her home studio in Helsinki, the album reflects a conscious shift away from control and towards intuition. Several pieces were captured as unedited first-take improvisations, while others grew gradually over dozens of recordings until they revealed their final form. The result is her most personal work to date: eleven compositions that move through grief, uncertainty, acceptance and hope with quiet honesty. Recorded on a felt-prepared 1970s Yamaha upright piano, the album also preserves the sounds of the room itself—the creak of a piano bench, distant sounds of wind and rain, and the subtle mechanics of the instrument—embracing the imperfections that naturally accompany music made at home.
